The Challenge – My Favorite Color

We all have favorite colors. The one we like to wear might be different than the one we like to decorate with. And that might be different than the one we buy for our fabric stash. This week we are going to work with only one of your favorites.

Challenge Clarifications

There have been a couple of questions/clarifications I would like to respond to all in one spot for everyone.  If you have more just let me know and I’ll contact Diane and see what she says.

This may sound like a silly question, but when using a print fabric can it have another color in it or just shades of your chosen color?
Other colors in it are fine as long as the fabric “reads” your chosen color.
Can we use prints as long as they have only the favorite color and white?
Yes – as long as the fabric ‘reads’ your chosen color.
Can it have shades of white in it as well….e.g. whites to creams?
Yes, shades of white are acceptable and in Diane’s mind a cream is a white.
Do we HAVE to include white in our project or can it just be the shades of the one color?
You do not have to use white.  It can be just one color.
NEW THIS SEASON!  Linky Party!

Add blog posts or flickr photo’s of your thought process/works in progress etc throughout the week to the linky party below!  Then we can all easily follow along with you!

  1. Thanks for another fun project!

  2. I’m still using green but found something to go with the chartreuse green that I love. I’m doing the happy dance now. I love all greens but the other ones just didn’t do it for what I had hoped to make.

  3. Another question….can it have shades of white in it as well….e.g. whites to creams?

  4. Can it not contain white?? Only shades of one color?

    • It can contain white AND one other color.

    • It CAN just be shades of the one color. It does not HAVE to contain white.

  5. This may sound like a silly question, but when using a print fabric can it have another color in it or just shades of your chosen color?

    • from Diane, our challenge giver:

“Other colors in it are fine as long as the fabric “reads” your chosen color.”

  6. Doing a happy dance! Love this challenge. Can’t wait to get started!
