For 9 months of the year I am a stay at home, the other 3 I am a full time apple orchardist. Not that during the other 9 months we’re not doing work at the orchard – it’s just not consuming our lives like it is the other 3 months. So, from August through the end of October there will be a lot of talk about what’s happening at the orchard. Sometimes I will double post some of the stories because they’re just too good to only share on my orchard blog but you can always head over there to find out what’s happening. I also share a lot of recipes on the orchard blog – especially those having apples as one of the ingredients.

A bit about the orchard

We are a family owned and operated apple orchard in Poynette, WI just 20 minutes north of Madison. Our farm is 20 acres and we grow over 50 varieties of apples, peaches, pears, squash, tomatoes, raspberries, blueberries, and more! We also provide free family fun for those who visit from a super cool tractor tire playground, farm animals to visit, a nature walk through the orchard and even a photo scavenger hunt.
