A big THANK YOU to my amazing SPONSORS for Season 4!

So – before I forget any longer, let’s take a look at how this quilt was created. I had many ideas go through my mind until I finally decided on doing a squarey quilt inspired by a quilt I saw show up on my facebook feed. My mother-in-law and her sister, Barb, are teaching squarey-quilts at the 2013 Quilts by Barb Quilt Retreat so this quilt would be for...

I have to say – it wasn’t too long ago that I was wondering if Jared and I would ever have friends…or a life… Well, it seems like it’s finally happening! We’re taking the kids over to some friends house for pizza and euchre tonight! Should be fun! I think becoming friends on social networks with some of the folks I meet at the orchard during apple season takes the awkwardness out of me calling in January/February and asking if they still want to hang out like we talked about in September! Anyway – before we go…let’s...

20 of those quilters made a quilt for all six challenges (getting them an seventh opportunity to win)
Are you impressed yet? I sure am – wow, wow, wow! This season has completely blown me away!

It is that time again! We all browse through the flickr group but may not take the time to read about each quilt that was made for the Project QUILTING Challenges. I love these ‘Closer Looks’ because it reminds me that there’s more to a quilt than just what you see when you look at the picture – there’s a story behind it, an inspiration, a new technique, a journey.
And with that – let’s take a closer look at eight of the quilts made for the ‘Hooray for Spring’ Project QUILTING Challenge!
